Dr. Gretchen Schwarzbeck was raised in Mount Prospect where she attended Prospect High School.  She was first introduced to chiropractic medicine when she injured her back in high school cheerleading.  This inspired her to study Health Sciences at Bradley University and earn her Chiropractic Medicine degree at National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL.

Dr. Tanya Freseth has been serving the Chicago area since 2012. She grew up in Altoona, WI, then ventured onto get her B.S. in Applied Science at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 2008. While at UW-Stout, she played basketball for the first two years until back pain got the best of her. It was at that point, she made it her mission to not let injuries and pain stop people from doing what they love.

I am experienced in many modalities such as Fascia Stretch Therapy, Cupping, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Prenatal, and Sports Massage techniques. I have a specialty in Fascial Stretch Therapy where I received my certification from the Stretch To Win institute as a Level 3 Medical Specialist. I also specialize in cupping and myofascial release. I also teach a class called “ Life Stretch” Where I teach you Self assessment, posture, breathing and fascial stretching.

Natalia has passion for helping people with their fitness and wellness needs and is excited to share her talet with Active Care! She utilizes her skills with clients to reduce tension and find freedom and ease through massage and movement. She understands that massage therapy is an integral part of injury prevention, rehabilitation and overall heath. She uses a variety of techniques including Myofascial Release, Trigger Point, gentle therapeutic stretches, and cupping tailored to her clients’ needs. During her time off she enjoys traveling, working out, cooking, photography and spending time with her boyfriend and cat.

Ashley Lakin grew up in Lake Forest, IL and has been passionate about food and health from a young age. Ashley graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor’s of Science in Dietetics before moving to New York City. There, she attended the Natural Gourmet Institute and completed the Chef’s Training Program focusing on health-supportive culinary arts.

Kristin graduated from Northern Illinois University with her Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training. She has worked with chiropractors, physical therapists, massage therapists and other athletic trainers. Kristin understands the value of being part of a multi disciplinary team and is excited to be a part of Active Care. Being an athlete herself, Kristin understands the importance of taking care of one’s health. In her spare time, Kristin enjoys taking part in triathlons with her husband and spending time with her two dogs; Bruce and Gordon.

Asia was born and raised in Poland, but moved to United States over a decade ago. She is excited to join the health field and become part of the Active Care Team! She is passionate about holistic approach of life. In her free time she loves to travel and spend time with family and friends.

Crystal has 18 years of experience in the healthcare field. She is a Certified Medical Assistant and has a clinical, billing, and coding background. Crystal has been doing insurance billing for over 5 years and was also an Insurance Coordinator for an oral surgeon. She is excited to be a part of the Active Care team and has a new found appreciation for natural medicine. In her spare time she loves to travel, spending time with her kids, family and friends.

Laura has over 6 years of experience in patient coordination within the healthcare field and is excited to bring that expertise and positive energy to Active Care! She is passionate about women’s health and taking time for self care. In her free time, Laura leads an online community of women and female allies around the world in sharing their passions for traditionally male-centered hobbies like video games & technology. She also enjoys baking and spending time with her family.
